Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development CS Zachariah Njeru, today joined Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua as he issued over 5,000 title deeds at Naikarra ward, in Narok County.
The CS was also accompanied by Lands PS Generali Nixon Korir and Housing PS Charles Hinga.
Speaking during the event the Deputy President called on the residents not to sell their land but instead use it to develop themselves.
“Women please help your husband’s to develop the land now that you have the title deeds,” said Mr Gachagua.
CS Njeru assured the Narok residents that the National Government is working with the County Government to issue more residents with title deeds for their land.
“We have just started, my Ministry is very committed to honor our promise of settling land disputes and issuing title deeds to the residents,” said the CS.
In his remarks, PS Korir urged the Governor, Deputy County Commissioner and Lands officers to come together and settle the land disputes that have been hindering development in the area for a long time.
Also present at the event were the Environment and Forestry CS Soipan Tuya, Narok Governor Ole Ntutu, Narok Member of Parliament Tongoyo Gabriel Koshal among other leaders.
