A technical delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini is in Kenya for a five-day benchmarking tour on land digitization.

This marks the second visit by Eswatini officials to Kenya to study the country’s digitization reforms—underscoring the remarkable progress achieved through the Ardhisasa platform, an online system that enables citizens to access and process land transactions seamlessly.

The current visit comes just five months after an earlier benchmarking mission, which was led by Eswatini Principal Secretary for Natural Resources and Energy, Ms. Nonhlanhla Dlamini.

Mr. Maalim noted that Kenya is proud to share its experiences and lessons in land reforms, emphasizing that digitization has improved efficiency, transparency, and accountability, while curbing fraud and loss of records.

“Kenya’s digitization journey has been transformative, and we are delighted to support Eswatini as they modernize their deeds registration system,” said Mr. Maalim.

On her part, Ms. Vilakati commended Kenya’s progress, noting that Eswatini is currently working to upgrade its manual registration and storage of deeds into a fully electronic Deeds Registration Information System. She added that Kenya’s experience offers valuable insights for this transition.
