Processing of Mutations
Description: Processing of mutations involves updating official land records to reflect changes in ownership or configuration resulting from subdivision or amalgamation of land parcels.
When a piece of land is divided into smaller plots or multiple parcels are combined into a single holding, a mutation is necessary to formally document the change in the land registry.
This process ensures that the current layout, size, and ownership details are accurately recorded, providing a reliable basis for future transactions, taxation, and development control. It is a critical step in maintaining up-to-date and legally valid land records.
Requirements: Mutation form, consent to subdivide, amended RIM, rent apportionment (for leasehold), original title, ID/passport, PIN certificate, 2 passport-size photos.
Charges: Kshs. 1,000
