The Principal Secretary for Lands and Physical Planning, ๐๐จ๐ง. Generali Nixon Korir, has today urged the ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฌ to support increased budgetary allocations for the 2025/2026 Financial Year. He said the funds would help in land digitization and settlement of the landless.

PS Korir made the appeal while appearing before the Committee, which is chaired by ๐๐จ๐ง. ๐๐จ๐๐ฌ๐ก ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ค๐จ, MP for Mugirango North, at Continental House, Nairobi.
During the session, the PS presented the State Department’s revenue and expenditure estimates for the upcoming financial year, highlighting the urgent need for more funding to address pressing land issues, particularly in the Coast region.

โIf we are to resolve land issues, especially in the Coast where many Kenyans are suffering, this Committee can help us push for more resources,โ said PS Korir, noting that the State Department continues to face budgetary constraints.
He also expressed gratitude to the Committee for its continued support of the Departmentโs initiatives.
