Lands PS Hosts Mozambique Delegation on a Benchmarking Tour

Principal Secretary for Lands and Physical Planning Hon. Generali Nixon Korir this morning hosted a delegation from the Republic of Mozambique led by Ambassador Hipolito Patricio. The delegation, which also included Hon. Albino Forquilha, a member of Parliament, and Mrs. Candida Moiane Zonjo, National Director of Local Administration at the Ministry of Public Administration, engaged in fruitful discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the visit, the delegation was given a comprehensive presentation by Kenya’s technical team on land management and ownership issues, with a particular focus on policies and practices in Kenya.

The meeting chaired by Land Secretary Sarah Maina also saw the participation of senior officials from the State Department for Devolution, the National Land Commission (NLC), and technical officers from the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning, further underlining the collaborative efforts between the two nations.
This productive engagement is expected to pave the way for enhanced cooperation between Kenya and Mozambique in areas related to land administration and management.
