President Ruto Issues over 9000 Title Deeds in Narok County

H.E. President William Samoei Ruto today issued over 9,000 title deeds in Narok County, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to resolving long-standing land disputes in the County.
Accompanied by Deputy President H.E Kithure Kindiki, President Ruto issued 6,804 title deeds to residents of Olderkesi area, Narok County, further demonstrating the administration’s dedication to equitable land reform and sustainable development.
Earlier today, H.E President Ruto issued 2471 titles to Oloonkolin residents, in Transmara sub County, Narok County.

Later today, H.E. the President issued an additional 6,804 title deeds to residents of the CIS-Mara/Olderkesi area, further demonstrating the administration’s dedication to equitable land reform and sustainable development.
H.E the President emphasized on unity and development in the area, adding that the issuance of the titles will also promote development in the area.
Speaking earlier today at Emurua Dikirr Technical Training Institute, President Ruto reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to addressing historical land injustices in Narok.
“We have had land issues in this region for decades, but today we turn a new page. We have consulted with community elders and agreed on a framework to ensure every Kenyan gets their rightful title,” said the Head of State.

He highlighted Narok’s significant agricultural potential and urged residents to make productive use of their land, now that ownership has been formalized.
The President was also joined by Lands and Physical Planning PS Generali Nixon Korir, Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu, Samburu Governor Jonathan Lati Leleliit, Cabinet Secretary for Defence Soipan Tuya, local leaders including , area MP Hon. Kipyegon Johana Ngeno, Narok Women Representative Rebecca Tonkei, and Senator Ledama Olekina, among others.
In addition to land reforms, President Ruto outlined a series of development initiatives in the county, including roads, education and connection of 15,000 households to electricity under the national electrification program.
