Ardhisasa system goes live in Murang’a

In a significant move towards enhancing land security and efficiency, the Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Ho
sing, and Urban Development, Hon. Alice Wahome, alongside the Lands and Physical Planning PS, Hon. Generali Nixon Korir, officially witnessed as the Ardhisasa system went live in Murang’a County this morning.

Murang’a now joins Nairobi as the second county to fully operationalize the National Land Management Information System. The event, held at the Murang’a Lands Registry, highlighted the transformative potential of this digital platform in addressing long-standing challenges in land management.

“The launch of Ardhisasa will resolve many issues, particularly in ensuring the security of land ownership records,” stated CS Wahome. “I want to assure you, no one will be able to fraudulently tamper with your land ownership records.”

CS Wahome urged all landowners in Murang’a to register and open an account on the Ardhisasa platform to safeguard their properties.

The digitization initiative in Murang’a County, which began in August 2021, has seen the successful scanning of 387,635 registers and 269,694 files.

Local leaders, including Murang’a Governor, area MPs, and MCAs, witnessed the momentous occasion as the Murang’a Lands Registry went live.

The Ardhisasa system promises a new era of transparency, security, and efficiency in land management for Murang’a County residents.
