The Ministry has started the review of Sessional Paper No. 3 of 2009 on National Land Policy. Stakeholder engagement has begun. This review is aimed at aligning the policy document with the Constitution of Kenya. The development of Land Sector Gender Policy is also in progress.
The Ministry is in the process of implementing the National Land Use Policy. The Ministry will continue reviewing and harmonising existing policies, legal and institutional arrangements and where necessary develop new ones to improve efficiency in land administration and management.
The Ministry developed regulations to facilitate electronic land transactions. Six sets of these regulations were approved by Parliament.
