Monica Obongo is the Director of the National Land Information Management Systems (NLIMS). Before her current appointment, she worked in the Directorate of Land Valuation, where she served in various capacities and rose through the ranks to become Deputy Director of Land Valuation.

She was instrumental in the establishment of the 24/7 Ardhisasa Customer Care unit, which handles inquiries and challenges encountered by both internal and external users of the NLIMS system.

Monica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Land Economics and a Master’s degree in Valuation and Property Management from the University of Nairobi (UON).

Her Master’s thesis focused on the use of computerized land information systems as a tool for land record management.
