CS holds talks with Nakuru leaders led by Governor Susan Kihika

Lands, Public works, Housing and Urban Development CS Zachariah Njeru this morning held talks with Nakuru leaders led by Governor Susan Kihika to discuss collaboration in development.
CS Njeru thanked the leaders for supporting the Affordable Housing Program and noted that partnership is key for the success of the development projects carried out in different counties.
“Let us work together and share ideas on how to unlock the challenges revolving around land titling, affordable housing and also build markets as H.E the President directed,” said CS Njeru.
The Nakuru Governor was accompanied by MPs Jayne Kihara (Naivasha), Martha Wangari (Gilgil), David Gikaria( Nakuru Town East), Samuel Arama ( Nakuru Town West), Samuel Gachobe (Subukia), Charity Gathambi (Njoro), Irine Njoki(Bahati) and Joseph Tonui (Kuresoi South).
The leaders spoke on land titling, affordable housing, markets among other development matters.
Governor Kihika proposed for the leaders to come up with a program whereby the various constituencies shall be carrying out land clinics to sensitize the public on land matters.
“We are ready to work with the National Government to deliver to our people. I urge the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning to do what it takes to fast track the land titling in Nakuru County,” said Governor Kihika.
Senior department officials who attended the meeting included Housing Secretary Athman Said, Director Urban Dr. Charles Konyango, Director Surveys Weldon Maritim, Director of Land Adjudication and Settlements Kennedy Njenga.
