President William Ruto today revealed that the Government will build seven new markets to increase business in nyamira County.
The President made the revelation after inspecting Nyansiongo Market whose construction shall be restarted after it had stalled in the past.
The construction of the over Sh 195 million market started on14th December 2020 but stopped due to several challenges including COVID 19 and unavailability of some materials on site.
The President was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development, Zachariah Njeru and Principal Secretary for Housing and Urban Development Charles Hinga.
The market will empower the local farmers and spur economic growth and alleviate poverty levels within the County.
