Lands PS appears before Parliamentary Committee on Delegated Legislation

Lands and Physical Planning PS Generali Nixon Korir on Wednesday afternoon appeared before the National Assembly Committee on Delegated Legislation to brief the members on the proposed regulatory amendments aimed at improving service provision of the department.
The committee, led by Ainabkoi MP Hon. Samuel Chepkonga convened the meeting at Parliament’s Bunge Towers to scrutinize details of the various proposed amendments as well as their regulatory impacts.
The areas covered by the amendments include,The Land adjudication (Amendment) Regulations 2023, Legal Notice No. 23, The Physical and Land use planning (Planning Fees (Amendment)Regulations 2023-Legal Notice No. 24, The Survey (Electronic Cadastre Transactions)(Amendment) Regulations, 2023-Legal Notice No.25, The Valuers( Forms and Fees)(Amendment) Rules, 2023- Legal notice No.26 among others.
Accompanying the PS were Heads of Departments from the State Department including David Nyandoro ( Chief Lands Registrar), Tom Abuta (Legal), Kennedy Njenga( Ajudication and Settlements), Weldon Maritim( Surveys), Gordon Ochieng (Land Administration )and Herbert Were( Valuation)
