Lands PS Korir calls for stricter reporting procedures to control fraud, enhance staff performance

Lands and Physical Planning PS Hon. Generali Nixon Korir has said that an efficient reporting mechanism will improve accountability and reduce chances of corruption.
PS Korir, who was speaking in Naivasha, said the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning is in the process of establishing a reporting mechanism whereby all heads of departments shall report monthly on revenue collection and the number of documents processed at each station in a bid to stop corruption in the Ministry.
The PS was speaking this morning at a two day workshop bringing together over 300 field officers working for the State Department. The workshop was opened by CS Alice Wahome yesterday morning.
“We must stop corruption at all cost in the state department. We are working in collaboration with the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to report any form of corruption for action,” Said the Lands PS.
In a bid to end corruption in the Ministry, the PS and Lands CS Wahome said the State Department has undertaken to improve working conditions for staff across the country and promised that honest hard working officers will be rewarded.

The PS instructed the head of stations to play their role in enhancing accountability.
