President William Ruto issued over 8600 title deeds in Kabartonjo, Baringo North

President William Samoei Ruto this afternoon issued 8621 title deeds in Kabartonjo in Baringo North. The title deeds issued are for residents from Baringo North, Central and South.
Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development Zachariah Njeru, Lands and Physical Planning PS Generali Nixon Korir were present during the event.
Speaking during the event, President William Ruto said the Government was going to employ other 100 Land valuers to make the titling programme much faster.
” I urge you all, stop the small cases and solve your land issues amongst yourselves. This is what slows the titling programme in the country,” said President William Ruto.
He said the government was also going to build 8 new markets in Baringo county to promote business in the area.
The CS and the PS assured that the Ministry of lands shall work tirelessly to issue title deeds to all land owners in the country.
” We shall be back before the end of the year to issue other 60,000 title deeds in Baringo county,” Said CS Njeru.
Giving the update on the National Titling Programme, PS Korir said in Baringo Central 98 percent of the work on new titles is already done.
The titles issued today include that for Kapkirwok (3,172), Tiloi(2,499), Sagasak(52), Salawa (2), Sogon(121), Sandai (1,539) and Barwessa ‘A’ (1,236).
The titling Programme in Baringo county is going to solve many challenges including insecurity issues in the area.
Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen and CS Simon Chelugui (Cooperatives and Micro and Small Enterprise), were present during the event.
Among other leaders who attended were Baringo Governor Benjamin Cheboi, Baringo Senator William Cheptumo,
MP, Baringo North Joseph Makilap, MP Baringo South Charles Kamuren, Mogotio MP Reuben Koborek, Tiaty MP Kamket Kassait, Eldama Ravine MP Musa Sirma and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.
